Facial Rejuvenation is assessed from top to bottom. The upper-face aging appears as sagging or low position of the eyebrows, creating a tired or sad appearance, deep horizontal creases across the forehead and frown lines, or furrows between the eyebrows and across the top of the nose.
A forehead lift can improve all of these problems. It may often be performed at the same time as a facelift. If there is significant skin overhang in the upper eyelids, or puffy bags beneath your eyes, eyelid surgery may be recommended in addition to a forehead lift. Dr. Bidros will discuss those options if needed.
Brow lift can be performed using several different methods depending on your hair line, hair density, amount of creases present and shape of your brow.
Brow aesthetics change with current popular styles. Dr. Bidros takes that into consideration and works with your preference and achieving your desired shape. His techniques attempt to avoid the “surprised look” typically seen. Asymmetry in brow position can also be improved with some techniques that Dr. Bidros utilizes.
ANESTHESIA
Dr. Bidros typically performs this operation under general anesthesia, although, it is possible under intravenous sedation. The lateral Dr. Bidros will discuss those options with you during the consultation.
BROW LIFT OR FOREHEAD LIFT OPTIONS
- Coronal Lift and Endoscopic Browlift
Typically for people with youthfully low hairline but have drooping brow and heavy horizontal lines.
- Hair Line BrowLift
Typically for people with a receding hairline. This procedure can also improve and lower the hairline.
- Endotine or TransBleph BrowLift
Good for people having an upper eyelid surgery or bald men
- Lateral BrowLift
An excellent option for asymmetric brows and limited horizontal lines. You can click here to see Dr. Bidros’ national presentation along with Dr. Friedman about this technique.
Dr. Bidros will assess your needs and advise you on the best option.
Results of a brow lift may be enhanced through laser resurfacing or a chemical peel that can further improve skin tone and surface appearance.
Swelling should subside in 1-2 weeks and final results may appear within a couple of weeks. Incision lines will continue to refine and fade for up to 1 year. |
